Welcome!

Särna, in Dalarna - or Dalecarlia, heart of Scandinavia - is surrounded by mountains, forests and waters, is the first and most accessible wilderness area in Sweden for those coming from the south, suitable for any kind of tourism, from the familiar to the more dynamic one. It's a perfect starting point for those wishing to take an active vacation in the nature in any season of the year, and for nature enthusiasts, birdwatchers and photographers. Even who is interested in culture and folklore will find reasons to come here: Dalarna is the most traditional county in Sweden, and offers celebrations in traditional dresses that attract tourists from all over the world (Midsummer), and the Lake Siljan area with the town of Mora.

In Särna we offers you our vandrarhem, which is a self catering family hostel, a kind of affordable facility widespread in the Country, equipped with private rooms and used by anyone, from couples to families and groups.

In winter, of course, there are many possibilities to enjoy skiing (both Alpine and cross-country), as well as husky sledging and snowmobiles, both in Särna and in the surrounding areas.
